How Formal Mentor/Coaching Works at TFM

“To Support and Equip Parents to find more effective ways to parent their special needs children.”

Remember, informal mentoring/coaching is included in the Empowered to Connect Parent Training classes.  It is somewhat temporary in scope and nature and often involves clarifying material being learned in the classes.  When something requiring a longer period of individualized focus arises, a more formal approach is more productive.

So how does it work?

More formal Mentor/Coaching at TFM is typically a series of phone appointments (if we are close enough, in person appointments can also be arranged) and some additional email support if needed.

These “sessions” are 45 minutes or 60 minutes in length and can be 10-14 days apart depending upon your needs.  Sessions can go for 2, 3 or 5 months depending upon your preferences or needs.

We strive to keep our mentor/coaching costs as low as possible (based upon current coaching charges which are easily 50% or more higher).  If finances are an issue, we do our best to NOT make them an issue – just contact us!  Here are the formal mentor/coaching choices available:

  • Package 1: Three 45 minute sessions/month for 2 months (6 sessions total) plus limited email support between sessions – $300 (typically half due at first session, 2nd half due at 4th Paid in full up front – $275)
  • Package 2: Two 60 minute sessions/month for 3 months (6 sessions) plus any needed email or short phone calls between sessions – $350 (typically half due at first session, 2nd half due on 4th Paid in full up front – $325)
